SLOPE PROTECTION - The Natural, Eco-friendly way (PART 1)

We have just completed the protection of the eastern slope. We used loose burlap material, which is a natural organic fibre cloth made from the skin of the jute plant, usually found in abundance in places like India and Bangladesh. This material was fixed in place with metal U-bars (made ourselves). The burlap material avoids rainwater and surface runoff, from eroding the face of the slopes, while allowing air to penetrate, which will be useful when the grassing of the slopes are done; which leads us to PART 2 of Slope Protection, so stay tuned!
